That is so awesome that you get a chance to teach quilting, what a fun job for you to have, gives you a chance to get out of the house for a while and an excuse to go and do something FUN!
And of course I will leave a link for you in my blog, but I would do it even if you weren't having a give away! =0P
My favorite class was one I took about a year ago from Teri Christopherson (sister to fellow quilt designer Barbara Brandeburg). Anyway, I learned how to machine applique from Teri, which opened up a whole new array of patterns I could make! What a fun giveaway...and congrats on getting to teach!
Hey Jennifer, I have loved every class that I've take, so this is hard. But my most favorite would probably be the 'Strips n' Curves' class I took. I loved the teacher, me fabric I used and I love how my quilt turned out.
congratulations on your job. I work at my local quilt shop too. And it is wonderful. I love going to work.
Hi Jennifer,
My first and only class gave me the inspiration to quilt. It was a logcabin quilt and eversince then I've been hooked!
Keep on doing the fine work you've been doing - being a first rate mom and sewer! You rock!
PS: And I didn't leave this comment just to win your giveaway! I'm new to your blog and I was blown away by your projects!
Congrats on the new job! Teaching quilting sounds like so much fun. I think my favorite class was a BOM called "Garden Party." Each month we got together and our teacher gave us the new blocks and helped us make them (no kits; we all got to choose our own fabrics). I think what I liked best about it was getting to see the same ladies every month and watching everyone's unique projects grow. It was lots of fun and there was great camaraderie. And I learned a lot!
Congratulations on the job. I've only taken one class at a shop because I live on an island and the boats never seem to run late enough to allow me to drive back from class and catch the boat to get home. One time I did pamper myself and take one... It was on making a double wedding ring using paper foundations.
I love your blog! I don't get alot of opportunity to take classes, but I took a "Stack n' Whack" years ago and ended up making about 10 of those quilts! I live nearby in Maryland and love to visit every quilt shop I can find!
Hi Jennifer!
Congratulations on our new job!I know that you will do a great job because your work is beautiful (just look at the treasures that you made for me)!
My favorite class was my beginner quilt class. I hate the quilt that I made but I loved the class!
Wow, congratulations and doesn't your new job sound fun and exciting.
I have never been to a quilt class but I think I would like to take one by Ricky Tims.
I just found your blog - What a fun drawing and I do hope I win :)

I miss my quilting "job" from the quilt shop I worked in prior to our move overseas. It never really was a "job" as I always felt I was paid to do what I loved! Beginners love just about any class you are willing to teach. I'd think beginner's machine quilting would be a good one.
What an ideal job! My most favourite class was the very first quilting class I ever did which was an eye-spy quilt. I have never looked back.
next wensday i am taking a class on how to hand applique, love to learn all about it so i can make the new BOM from Bunny Hill!!
Congrats on the teaching, you'll really enjoy the students.
I must be too late for the draw...oh well next time.
What a fun job....
I haven't taken many classes at the quilt shop but I did take a Trip Around the World class and really enjoyed it. That was 15 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.

PS: Your Cinderberries are fantastic...I need to get back to mine.
Great giveaway! I'm also an AF wife and we currently live in Idaho! :) My favorite class was probably the first class I ever took about 18 years ago because it introduced me to my love of quilting! It was a hand piecing class and all the blocks were cut with templates that we had to trace and make ourselves...boy have times changed! :)
congrats on your new job , what better job is there???
My favorite class was taught by a woman who was passionate about quilting and it showed. She brought lots of samples to show of the technique she was teaching... it was nice to see the blocks in many different fabrics as well, the visual part wanted you to make the quilt in different fabrics.
To me it showed she really knew how to do it and was qualified as a teacher.
She had made a few quilts and a couple of little quilts using the technique.
good luck and thanks for the giveaway, I love making little quilts and the charm packs would be wonderful Thanks
I have a giveaway right now on my blog too!
Congrats on your new teaching assignment!! I would love to take a class on borders!! I always struggle with putting borders on my quilt...it's usually just a smaller inner border and a wider outer border!! Very boring!!
I too would love a class on borders/bindings - would like to learn some nontraditional shapes and methods I could use on some quilted wallhangings. What fun that would be!
This is neat since I'm new to blogging -- helps me learn by adding a link to my blog, plus have fun with a give-away.
My favorite class was paper-piecing, but I'd really like to join a "Dear Jane" group someday to help with those more difficult DJ blocks that I'm struggling with on my own. Also, perhaps it would help me finish this quilt in my lifetime! ;)
I would love to work in a quilt shop but I don't think I'd ever bring home a paycheck and probably owe them money LOL! My favorite class was my first quilt class in 2001 when I caught the quilting bug and have quilted ever since.
You are making me take a trip down memory lane here. I would have to say it was the Nosegay class. The lady I took the class from really tried to teach how to strip piece everything and she opened a lot of possibilities in my mind.
Hmmm . . . that's a tough one. I've taken so many different classes over the years. What I'd really like to take, however, is the class that Gwen Marsden used to teach on drafting your own hand quilting patterns like feathers, etc., and help with figuring out just how to quilt a quilt top. Now that she's teamed up with Mary Story she's focusing on her liberated quiltmaking. I prefer her older stuff.
Oh fun for the holidays. My favorite was a fusing class was taken 2yrs ago at NQA (Columbus OH) from Laura W. She does such neat artie type work.
Congrats, I hope you love it as much as you are excited about it right now! Fabulous!
What a great give away....My first quilt class I took was my favorite...Double Wedding Ring Quilt...That was a few years ago. I had already made quilts when I took it but never had taken a class until then.
Sush, don't tell, I've yet to finish piecing that quilt. Really should get out and finish it.
Congratulations on getting to teach quilting!!!
The best class I ever took was a Sampler class - it lasted for a year and we met once a month. It was an awesome class!!!
I have never taken a quilting class, but I would love to some day. I think either a free motion quilting class, or a not quite beginner's class. I'm sure I have a lot of bad quilting habits that need to be pointed out.
Count me in!
I took my first class in 2000. A beginning log cabin project from the Eleanor Burns book. I actually finished the quilt too!!! :o) Good luck with your classes.
One of my favorite classes was a string piecing class. It was a free class. The shop provided the strips of fabric. It was very freeing. I just sewed and sewed without worrying about 1/4 " seams or color placement. It jump-started me into quilting. Thanks for asking!
My favorite class is the first one I took - which was just last month! LOL! I also just took the first session of my 2nd class! I must say that I'm loving every minute!
Me please! :o))
I forgot to say that my fav class was the one that taught me to paper piece!
